Synergetics and Self-organization in the Economy

The master thesis focuses at analysis and research of synergy and self-organization in economics. The motivation for the thesis was joining Czech Republic and other nine countries to the European Union on May 1st, 2004. The primary aim was to analyse the problem and on a model example,assuming "ceteris paribus", confirm or refute the thought, that joining the European Union has positive synergic effect for newcomers. The second meaning of synergy is solved as a sub-problem in the master thesis, where the use of synergy in logistics was analysed and opportunities improving the current situation were suggested.
Artificial Life Simulator

Area of artificial life is very extensive. Simulations with reactive agents are the target of this work. Simulator of artificial life and language for definition agent's behavior are described in this work. Porposals a results of simulation made are described in this work.
Neural Networks and Their Applications

The aim of this thesis is to present a consistent insight into the most frequently used types of artificial neural networks and their applications. It depicts feedforward neural networks with backpropagation training algorithm, Hopfield networks and self-organizing maps (Kohonen maps). Second part of this thesis demonstrates typical applications of described networks and discusses various factors, which influence performance of these networks on chosen tasks.
Cellular Automata

A Cellular automaton is a simple mathematical model that can exhibit a complex behavior. It was introduced by Von Neumann who was trying to find a mathematical description for a self-reproduction. Among well known works about self-reproduction belongs works from Hiroky Sayama. He introduced a model, that was capable of a simple evolution. This work expands Sayama`s evolving model by simple interactions inspired by competitions of specieces. The aim of the work is observe better dynamics than in Sayama`s model.
Nanoparticles formed by complexes of copolymers with low-molar-mass compounds

This thesis is focused on mixed systems of various copolymers (double hydrophilic block and gradient polyelectrolytes, hydrophobic graft copolymers) and low-molar-mass compounds (sodium dodecyl sulfate as a representative of a ionic surfactant or superparamagnetic iron oxides in the form of nanocrystals). The electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions in the studied systems in aqueous solutions leading to aggregation behavior and to the formation of co-assembled nanoparticles were investigated by combination of scattering and microscopy techniques, including light, X-ray and neutron scattering, electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. RNDr. Jakub Pšenčík, Ph.D. Abstract: Artificial photosynthesis is a potential future source of renewable energy. e light-to-emical energy conversion process starts with capturing light. Chlorosomes of green phototropic bacteria are probably the most efficient light-harvesting antenna found in the Nature. Moreover, their unique structure based on a self-organised ag- gregate of pigment molecules makes them relatively easy to mimic in vitro. is work explores formation and properties of self-assembled aggregates of bacteriolorophyll molecules in aqueous solvents by means of steady state and time resolved optical spec- troscopy with time resolution in the microsecond to femtosecond range. Various ag- gregation inducing agents have been tested. Isoprenoid quinones introduce a redox- dependent excitation energy quening meanism into the bacteriolorophyll aggre- gates. Carotenoids enhance the light-harvesting properties of the aggregates by cap- turing light in the spectral region where bacteriolorophyll does not and transferring the excitation energy to bacteriolorophyll. e results indicate that self-assembled...

Aplikace moderních metod klasifikace zvukových dat

This work describes contemporary methods for sound data classification and their application on sound recordings. This work deals with the selection of sound signal characteristics appropriate for concrete classification criteria followed by the exploration of proper types of artificial neural networks for this task. Different topologies and learnings algorithms of chosen neural networks are proposed and their performance in this classification is compared. Results compared are discussed and the best solution for sound data classificaton based on the content of recordings is chosen. This work also includes the chosen algorithms implementation into the software solution of my own.
